There is no universal best thickness. Select the exact product together with the tabletop size, support spacing, backing, edge, cut-outs, transport method and intended load. Obtain written approval for the complete assembly before mass production.

Can a furniture factory cut sintered stone with standard stone machinery?

Many operations use bridge saws, waterjet or CNC equipment, but tools and parameters must match the exact slab. Confirm the fabrication guide, use appropriate dust controls and prove the process with a trial cut.

Does a thicker slab eliminate the need for a support frame?

No. Thickness does not correct an uneven or twisting frame. Support locations, flatness, attachment, point loads and handling must be engineered for the finished furniture.
