FINISH SELECTION

Specify the Surface Separately from the Marble Pattern

The same visual direction can read differently under polished, low-sheen or tactile surfaces. Confirm the finish on the selected model and approve a physical sample under the project lighting. Finish availability varies by product; the six families are not automatically available on every design.
Polished marble-look sintered stone surface showing crisp reflected light01

Polished

Highest reflection and colour depth. Use when vein contrast is intentional; check glare, edge polish and water-mark visibility.

Matte marble-look sintered stone surface showing diffuse low-glare texture02

Matte

Lower glare and a quieter appearance. Useful for large walls and work surfaces; approve tone and cleaning under real lighting.

Silk satin marble-look sintered stone surface showing a soft controlled sheen03

Silk / Satin

Soft sheen between polished and matte. Suits hospitality and furniture; approve hand feel, sheen level and finished edge together.

Honed marble-look sintered stone surface showing a subdued stone-like low sheen04

Honed

Subdued, stone-like low sheen. Good for calm interiors; confirm stain response, maintenance method and batch consistency.

Leather textured marble-look sintered stone surface showing fine tactile microtexture05

Leather / Textured

Tactile microtexture for feature walls and furniture. Check cleanability, contact areas, joints and edge treatment before use.

Structured relief marble-look sintered stone surface showing pronounced linear topography06

Structured / Relief

Pronounced topography for decorative panels. Do not assume it suits tight seams or worktops; approve shadows, joints and fixing.

BEFORE YOU APPROVE A QUOTATION

Compare Quotations on Five Project-Critical Items

A colour name and a low figure are not enough. Compare the approval evidence, processing scope, batch control and logistics before treating two offers as equivalent.

Export Packing Examples for Freight Planning

Use the factory packing references below to estimate pallet count, area per frame and container utilisation before the final quotation. The final packing list is matched to the exact product body, finish, thickness, protection level, rack type and destination weight limit.

What the buyer should approve: bare slab, half-carton or full-carton protection; A-frame, U-frame or wood crate; labels and batch references; bands and container airbags; pallet dimensions and gross weight; loading photos and the final packing list. This prevents a low freight estimate from becoming breakage, overweight or unloading risk.

OWNED FACTORY — BUYER OUTCOMES

What Funtek’s Own Factory Changes for Your Project

The value of an owned factory is not the building itself. It is the ability to connect the approved slab, batch, face, drawing, inspection and export pack to one order record—so problems are found before the material travels to your jobsite.

Funtek can produce standard 6 / 9 / 12 / 15 mm slabs, custom 20 mm, and premium full-body-vein 12 mm formats. The project route is selected from the finished application—not from a colour name alone.

01

One approval record

Sample, full slab, face ID, batch and packing label stay connected, reducing shade and replacement disputes.

02

Drawing review before cutting

Cutout radius, edge clearance, seam and support risks can be corrected before material and machining are committed.

03

Pre-shipment inspection

Size, thickness, flatness, finish, defects, labels and quantity are checked before ocean freight makes correction expensive.

04

Pack for the actual journey

Rack/crate, weight, loading order and unloading inputs reduce transit breakage, site confusion and surprise handling costs.

Buyer outcome: fewer approval loops, fewer ambiguous handoffs and a clearer party responsible at every checkpoint.

KEY PROJECT EVIDENCE

Certificates, Test Reports & Compliance Documents

Review all ten available files covering low-emission and food-contact certificates, conformity and fire performance, sample-specific ASTM test reports, and factory management systems. The applicable document set is confirmed against the selected product, thickness, finish, market and project requirement.

For tender, customs, regulatory, or formal project submission, request the complete file and verify the issuer, date, scope, product/thickness coverage, test conditions, and current listing. A sample test result is not automatically a result for every design, finish, or thickness.

FAQ — PROCUREMENT & SPECIFICATION

Marble-Look Sintered Stone Questions Before Ordering

What is marble-look sintered stone?
It is a factory-produced sintered stone surface designed to create marble-like colour and movement. It is not natural marble. Origin, variation, edge appearance, fabrication, maintenance questions, and project evidence differ.
Can a small sample approve the finished appearance?
A sample is useful for colour, finish, and touch. It cannot show full-slab movement or the way veins will land after cutting. Approve a full-slab or numbered-face view when composition matters.
Can every marble-look slab be bookmatched?
No. Bookmatching requires a specifically produced and available mirrored face set. Confirm the actual faces, orientation, numbered elevation, joints, and replacement plan before ordering.
Which slab thickness should I choose?
Funtek normally produces 6, 9, 12, and 15 mm, and can produce 20 mm. Use 6 mm for supported cladding and furniture skins, 9 mm for continuously supported wall/light-duty work, 12 mm as the preferred worktop thickness, and 15 mm where the part needs more rigidity. New full-body vein products use 1200 × 2700 and 1600 × 3200 mm in 12 mm.
Are the slabs suitable for kitchen countertops?
Suitability must be confirmed for the exact design, thickness, finish, fabrication, support, joints, and use conditions. Relevant food-contact documentation can be supplied for project review where its product scope applies.
How are colour, face, and batch approvals recorded?
Tie the approved sample, product, finish, full-slab or face images, batch or shade reference, quantity, drawings, and revision to the order record. Keep the same references for inspection and claims.
Which certificates and reports can Funtek provide?
The library above shows ten available files covering product certificates, conformity, sample tests, and management systems. The correct file depends on the product, thickness, finish, application, country, and project requirement.
What information is required for a private quotation?
Send the selected slab or reference, application, drawings, face requirement, format, thickness, finish, quantity, processing scope, destination, packing, required documents, and schedule.
How should I choose among the six Funtek surface finish families?
Use polished for maximum reflection and colour depth; matte for lower glare; silk or satin for a soft intermediate sheen; honed for a subdued stone-like appearance; leather or textured for tactile feature surfaces; and structured or relief for pronounced decorative topography. Exact availability depends on the selected model. Approve a physical sample under project lighting and confirm cleaning, edge, joint and contact requirements.
How much pattern variation should I expect between slabs?
Variation depends on the design and face system. Approve the sample for tone and finish, then use full-slab or numbered-face images for movement, crop, joints and replacement planning. Do not assume one small chip represents every finished part.
How are samples, MOQ, lead time, and spare slabs confirmed?
They are confirmed in the private quotation because the design, finish, format, thickness, stock or production route, quantity, processing, packing and destination all affect the supply plan. Include the required schedule and spare allowance in the RFQ.
