Funtek honeycomb-backed porcelain panels combine a ceramic face, a bonding layer and an aluminum honeycomb backing with PU fiberglass skins on both sides of the core.
Panel dimensions, ceramic face thickness, backing configurations and weight for wall cladding.
| Panel parameter | Specification |
|---|---|
| Ceramic face thickness | 3–6 mm |
| Maximum composite panel size | Up to 1200 × 3200 mm |
| Composite wall panel weight | Approx. 9–16 kg/m² |
| 1200 × 2800 mm wall panel weight | Approx. 30–54 kg per panel |
| Wall panel construction example | 3 mm ceramic face + 9 mm backing |
| Exterior embedded-fixing construction | 3–6 mm ceramic face + 12–15 mm backing |
Face and backing thicknesses are listed separately. The 12–15 mm backing applies to the exterior embedded-fixing detail. Final panel size and weight follow the selected ceramic face, backing and fixing configuration.
Large-format architectural panels require more than an attractive surface. Weight, dimensional movement, fixing arrangements and installation efficiency all influence project execution.
Lightweight composite construction can simplify material handling compared with heavier conventional stone cladding assemblies.
Fiberglass-reinforced composite layers are designed to help manage dimensional movement within the panel assembly.
Compatible fixing hardware and installation details help contractors plan panel positioning, alignment and assembly.

Available test data covers flexural performance, bond strength under different conditioning methods, impact resistance and fire classification for specified panel assemblies.
